Matt was diagnosed with Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm. BPDCN is a rare and aggressive hematologic malignancy of the bone marrow and blood that can affect other organs such as the lymph nodes, spleen, central nervous system, and skin and affects around 500 people in the U.S. each year. He underwent 8 rounds of chemo with 5 days between each round. May 12th was day of transplant, and it took 27 days between chemo and transplant. He was diagnosed at age 33
